Update: I have two friends who have committed to model (just to help me build a portfolio
) with a third considering... one that wants to do glam, the other more fetish / conceptual /emotive / horror... Hopefully I get my DSLR soon, and get my Leica back from the factory, and in a month or so this profile should really be picking up!
I'm a NUB and just finally figuring out how everything works here, commenting, seeing responses, and in figuring this place out so I'm REALLY sorry if I've done anything strange... well not really, but it sounded nice, eh?
I know my account is basically empty, nothing but a few cloud pictures... these are all older... my interest in photography has been re-ignited, and my point-and-shoot SD400 is not much for taking decent photos. I've taken in my inherited Leica IIIf for a complete overhaul, and will start taking film shots when I get it back in a couple of months. I can't wait for that.
Soon, I'll be purchasing a DSLR. I've decided on a Canon 40D, and I should have that in a week or two from today, and I should be able to get some really interesting still life and outdoor shots.
I'm really interested in getting into portrait work, and am completely inexperienced in it. If you view my favorites, you can get an idea of what I would like to shoot... ignore the fetish and glam, I'm more interested in the emotive, conceptual and expressive shots that I've collected.
I do have a few models that will pose for me, but I will be looking for people in the area to shoot, and depending on experience I'll either offer a gratuity or trade for portfolio, but I do expect to build up a reasonable portfolio myself before offering or looking for this.
Anyways, that's some info about me. I haven't hit with a splash, but it should be interesting when I actually start trying my hand with portraiture.
Feel free to use my works how you see fit, however please comment and refer to any usage to my original work. Perhaps my stance may change on this, but this is how I feel right now.

P.S. Oh, I really adore pictures of girls holding cameras, telephones, anything stripes, as well as creative conceptual stuff.
